Final Row was born in Great Britain in 1997. He raced as a two year old at Nottingham and Royal Windsor. As a 3 year old he traveled to the states and won his first race at Santa Anita for trainer Jim Cassidy. Throughout his career he showed everyone that a 15 hand thoroughbred can run with the best of them. He finished his career earning $220,449, 6 wins, 9 seconds and 4 thirds.
Final Row retired to stud in Texas and had several note worthy runners over the years. He was retired from his stud duties at Ivy Rose Equestrian Center for Melanie Teal and has enjoyed being a pasture pet with her for the last couple of years.
Melanie is moving from her Texas farm and was worried about Final Row's future. She contact us to see if we might have a place for him at Remember Me. Dallas and Donna Keen owned Final Row earlier during his career and are very fond of him, but his relevance as a Texas stallion and the part of history that this stallion plays, being the last of the direct male line to Indian Ridge/Byerly Turk stallions in America, earns him sanctuary status.
27 year old Final Row will have his own paddock to live out the remainder of his days at Remember Me with people who know and love him. Dallas and Donna Keen will sponsor him but donations to the Remember Me Sanctuary and its Residents are always very much appreciated.
