Remember Me

Remember Me Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit organization, accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance since 2014

May 29, 2013 a sale barn that had been closed for several years reopened as a public horse sale.   It will be held every Wednesday night.   The men who run the sale are known buyers for slaughter horses and do have contracts with Mexican slaughterhouses.
Remember Me Rescue is committed to monitoring the thoroughbreds that are run through the sale.   Although we realize we will not be able to save them all, we will do what we can to bring as many as possible to RMR to rehab, retrain, and place in new homes as finances allow.

If you would like to help us in our efforts to remove thoroughbreds from this auction you may contribute by becoming a Team Restart Member or donate to a particular horses care through a PayPal button we will place with each horses information that is removed from the sale.

We need your help
From time to time we have a situation come up where we need to raise money fast for a sale barn rescue and we don't have time to build a paypal button for the individual horse.  This will be the sale barn rescue donation button.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who gives at a moments notice to help us save thoroughbreds who shouldn't be at these kinds of auctions.

Three Girls was found in the Stroud Kill Pen in Oklahoma on November 1st.  She was purchased by Gulfstream Park, where she last raced, and was brought here for Quarantine.  After 21 days, she joined the horses at the main barn at Remember Me Rescue where she will continue her lengthy rehabilitation.

Even though Three Girls is safe, we still need help with her care, rehab, and veterinary expenses.

We also rescued Kid Callaghan on 12/3 from Wish Upon A Horse Kill Pen in McLean, Texas.

Without financial assisitance, we can not take in new horses in need.  Please help us help her and others by making a donation today.

On January 11th, we pulled 2 horses from Wish Upon A Horse.  A 9 year old chestnut mare, Let Me Be, and a 5 year old grey gelding, Last Of The Past.  Both horses are severaly injured and very ill.  They are currently in vet care at Exclusively Equine.
You can make a donation directly to the vet through her Venmo account, @Patricia-Tersteeg or pay by credit card by calling 817-301-5090 and leaving a message on her voicemail.  She will call you back at the end of her day for payment info.
