The Remember Me Retired Racehorse Program was formed by racehorse trainers and volunteers to assist retired and injured racehorses after their careers at the track are over. We accept, rehabilitate, and retrain exracehorses with the hopes of finding them new homes with responsible owners. Remember Me has been a 501(c)3 since 2008 and accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance since 2014.
We Need Your Support
We rely on donations from horse lovers, horse breeders and racing fans alike. Since we are an IRS recognized 501(c)3 program, all donations are tax deductible. Please consider donating to our continuing efforts to place these horses with new families.
We appreciate any and all donations! Our mailing address is:

We have many horses available for adoption right now and others that need your supportive sponsors for their care and rehabilitation.
27 year old Tricky Prospect has been a resident of our sanctuary for 8 years. Tricky needs sponsors to help us care for his senior needs. Consider making a monthly donation to help us care for him and the other special needs horses here at Remember Me.
"We are proud to have been accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance since 2014. Being a part of the TAA gives potential adopters and financial donors confidence in knowing we follow the highest standards in care and operations."
-Donna Keen, Director of Remember Me Rescue
We are here for them when there is no one else.
Emergency Rescue
Please donate here to help us purchase and provide for the immediate needs of thoroughbreds found at horse auctions or kill pens.
We do our best keep horses from ever entering the slaughter pipeline or ending up in kill pens by intervening at local sale barns. This requires emergency funding for their purchase, transport, quarantine and vet care. When we find a horse at a sale we need immediate help to rescue them. Your donations go directly towards our mission to save horses. When a horse needs pulled from a kill pen, we rely on donations from our followers to get them out and safely to quarantine for care.
Your donations are currently being used to help:
Three Girls, pulled from a kill pen on 11/1
Kid Callaghan, pulled from a kill pen on December 3rd.
