Three Girls
Three Girls is a chestnut filly by Collected, out of a Union Rags mare.  She was foaled January 25th, 2020 in New York.  She raced 10  times before sustaining a career ending injury at Gulfstream Park.  During her racing career she earned $54,194 only winning once.  She also had 2 second place finishes and 1 third.  A home was found for her where she was supposed to receive career for her injuries, but as often happens, her new owners let her down. November 1st we picked her up from Stroud Kill Pen in Oklahoma.
Three Girls looked like she had been through a meat grinder.  Her broken sesimoid and pulled suspensory made her an easy target for the other horses in the pen.  She barely had inches between bite and kick marks.  Despite being very lame, she gladly loaded on to our trailer and headed for the safety at Remember Me.
Three Girls settled right in around here.  She rested peacefully in her deeply bedded stall and enjoyed eating slowly with no competition for her food.  She spent 21 days in quarantine and then was taken down to the main barn.
She will need months of rehabilitation.  We hope by the spring she will be pasture sound and ready for a companion home.  But until then, she will remain here with the help of our followers.  Please consider making a donation to help us continue her care.
