Miss Carmen dark bay thoroughbred mare by Too Much Bling, born February 22, 2017. Her last race was September 22, 2023, but you would think she had never seen the racetrack. Carmen was recently returned to us after being adopted out a little over a year and a half ago, by no fault of her own. She took to off track life about as well as any horse we have had. She likes to learn new things and thinks her way through any obstacle. This video was taken on her second day under saddle in 2023.
Carmen stands 16.1 hands tall and is sound and is currently barefoot. Our farrier will be out this week to give her a fresh trim. She is a beautiful mover with a fantastic walk/trot. You can sit or post her trot. Even her extended trot is smooth and consistent. She learned lateral movement on her second off track ride and is now moving easily from leg pressure. We are letting her settle in and will begin riding her next week, just to make sure nothing has changed with her habits undersaddle.
Carmen has no bad habits or vices, and does not even give a nasty mare stare 😂 She has a very kind disposition and is a barn favorite!
